Something a bit different….Quilting
I have something a bit different to share today. I wanted to post this project mainly to have a record for myself….so forgive me if it is a bit indulgent ;-).
I made this for my sister Helen, I think for her wedding about 8 years ago. It is the second patchwork quilt I have made, and all designed myself. There is a mixture of hand and machine quilting, that can just be made out in the photos.
It is not quite the size of a full double, but digging out these photos again, I have to say I am getting ideas about perhaps attempting another one.
it takes a lot of planning, and a lot of time commitment……but so very worth it when you have set you mind to it.
I thank you for taking the time to pop by and look, I would love to know what you think, especially from the more experienced sewers among you.

Love the design of your quilt, a beautiful wedding gift for your sister. Made a small quilt many years ago for my youngest son's teddy, the intention was to start a full sized quilt but I never did get round to it.

Wow Claire, you are so clever. This is amazing. I have made various small patchwork quilts and cushion covers when my kids were small so know the amount of work that is involved in a project like this. Well done
