For the Guys…

Morning everyone, how was your weekend. It was very productive with us here and we managed to get lots of jobs done in the garden. The boys climbing frame was finally repaired after the destructive gales and few weeks ago that lifted it like a leaf and smashed it to the ground. It is now concreted and chained to the ground (so keeping everything crossed it won’t go flying again)

So onto my DT card for the new ARTISTIC INSPIRATIONS, challenge this week. Its a bit late, I have to admit to indulging myself to a cappuccino in my local coffee shop this morning, on my own with my book, after I dropped the boys to school…LOL cheeky I know!

This week it is all about CARDS FOR THE MEN,

and as we are sponsored by Bugaboo

offering 7 digi stamps for our winner, I have chosen to use their BBQ Guy, and create this card.

For a change, this card is all about stamping and techniques. I havn’t added any embellishments, and therefore is perfect for posting.
I was chuffed with ho it turned out because the background is created with a mask and its the first time I have used one (I know I’m behind with the times, as you all have had them in your stash for ages  :-)]
Anyway, the main image is coloured with a grey pallet from Spectrum Noir. The background is created with distress inks and a  mask, a newish edition to the Sarah Hurley range (found here), and the additional stamps (in black momento) are also from Sarah Hurley’s stamps range (found here).
The two black borders are created with a black pen to give the illusion of a matted layer.
