Blue Christmas
This week at Stamp-n-Doodle Lynne has wanted to us highlight the images that are available at her shop from the talented artist Lauren Curtis
Using one of her christmas images I have created this clean and simple christmas card (with a backdrop of my favourite papers, Basic Grey)
Why not head over to the challenge site to see the inspiration from my other design team members….thet have done a wonderful job, including some really traditional classic autumn cards.
Card Recipe
Cardstock – 8×8″ Craftwork card blank
Image – Lauren Curtis, Holiday Scene
Backing papers – Basic Grey, Nordic xmas collection
Silver mirri card, ribbon and swirl all from stash
Construction of this card is CAS, clean and simple. However I printed the image in light grey tones to allow be to add some colour to it using Promarkers.
I then cut the image out carefully going around the shapes outside of the straight lines – this i think adds dimension to the image without the need to decoupage it.
Finally the image was coated in a layer of Spray & Shine from crafters companion – its subtle but the glisten mimics the snow.
Thank you for taking the time to look and read.
