Xmas bauble

Again the time has come for us to spotlight the designer who also contributes to the Stamp-N-Doodle website, Lauren Curtiss

Lauren has a classic style and really depicts the holiday seasons with a traditional air. I have chosen a beautiful image of two skaters and manipulated it into a paper ornament for the christmas tree, using a digital craft software programme.

The software already had the template available and all I had to do was decorate, print and assemble, I hope you like it.

‘Anything
Goes’

This Challenge is quite easy, all you need to do
is complete a Card / Project that follows the Theme. It can be anything
remember for example, Cards Scrapbook Layouts, Boxes, Bags, Tags, 3D Creations
and maybe even Jewellery.

The
Prize

A chance to grab one of Stamp-n-Doodle’s Digi
Stamps

I decorated , printed and cut out the ready made digital template of the bauble.

The cut out elements were folded vertically along the marked dotted line, directly in half. Using a tape glue I attached 2 elements together back to back – making sure I applied glue to only one half.

The third element was attached in the same way, attaching only half of the bauble at a time. After the third one is attached remember to add ribbon/twine/cord down the centre line, and this will enable you to hang your ornament.

When it come to attaching the fourth and final element, the ornament is complete by gluing both sides to complete the 3D shape.

If you want to add any addition embellishment then I think this is the best stage, then ornament can then be hung to dry.

I hope this has made a bit of sense, it is really a very straight forward project, and i was surprised at how quick it came together.
I think I may have another go using spellbinder dies to get some really unuasual shapes, and then go to town with the stamping, colouring embellishing.
It wpuld be a great project to do with the kids too.

I look forward to seeing your ‘Anything Goes’ creations in the challenge this week, hope you can join us.
