New challenge – ANYTHING GOES
Please feel free to visit the challenge for some more ingenious inspiration from my fellow team members
Hi there, so glad you could join me, welcome to a new challenge with Sarah Hurley. Anything Goes this month for May, so we are all looking forward to the diversity of the projects you send to us.
My inspiration for you this month has been made with papers from one of Sarah’s ‘A Few of My Favourite Things Kits’, from December 2013 I do believe (and although this particular kit may have sold out, there are others available and of course you can subscribe yourself to receive a lovely box of goodies monthly too) Check out the link HERE for subscription options.
RECIPE
1- To make this card I used off cards of paper and run them through my Grand Caliber with the Stampin’ Up ‘Banners Framelits Dies’
2– I altered a couple of the off cuts because the dies cut as pennants (with two points) and for balance I wanted just the one point on some shapes.
3- Each cut pennant was edged and inked with pumice stone distress ink, just to define it subtly from its neighbour.
4- It took me AGES to arrange the order of the pennants, but when done I hid the raw edges at the top with ribbon before attaching permanently to the ruled backing page.
5- The rose pendant from was also from the same kit and part of Sarah’s ‘Snip & Stick’ sheets that she includes. it is layered onto spellbinder die cut shapes.
Thanks again for joining me, see you again soon x

I love this design and the way you've layered the flags. It's a good way to use up small off cuts.
