Hi there, I’m back with a tutorial today of a mixed media piece, originally created on a canvas, using Nesting Circle stamps and the associated Solid Circle stamps. I will talk you through how to make the background using a stencil with both inks, and Nuvo embellishment mouse by Tonic Studios to create texture. Finally I will introduce the Nesting stamps and their Solid stamps, and how they work so well to co ordinate with each other.
You will hopefully by the end, understand how a piece like this comes together.
I came up with the concept of Nesting stamps so that I could create pieces like this because being a stamper, I do not naturally reaching for dies. Kerri-Ann designed the stencil I used in the background at around about the same time, but we hadn’t discussed our ideas….but the two work together so brilliantly.
All stamps and stencils are by Imagine Design Create, and are currently available on the Hochanda website
- Nesting Circles & Rectangle A5 stamp set
- Solid Circles A6 stamp set
- 80 x 210mm Circles & Squares stencil
This tutorial/demo had been prepped to appear on a HOCHANDA show, but as the show became very busy, we simply ran out of time ….so I thought I’d share it with you today.
Thank you so much for joining me today, see you again next time.
