Hunkydory Xmas………A Festive Challenge

I had a good week craft wise last week. I made a good start on my christmas cards and spent an enjoyable morning with my promarkers colouring little elves (I’ll blog the cards in a day or two)
Also, I had a call from the owner of the local craft shop. The shop has only been in our high street only about 12 months and stock justs the basics (along with artists materials, wools, beads etc).
I have been in a tried to suggest various ways to promote their cardmaking section. I have offered my time for instore demonstrations etc.

Anyway, I received a call last week with the news that they are wanting to start up a card making class. I was asked if I was interested (of course I jumped at the chance).

The shop gets very new cardmakers and they seem to be thrown by all the products, and mainly the hunkydory kits that the shop has  really embraced.

I put together the most basic kit, at a very modest cost (£4.50) to entice people.

Here is the set of cards I managed to make with just the above items – I surprised myself with 6 cards, but they came together so quickly.

1 A4 Blue Cardstock

Card #5

The shop owner was over the moon when I went in the following morning, and amazed that so many cards could be made, and so quickly.

Considering the materials I was verypleased with this set of cards.
I will now have to wait to see if anything comes of the classes
(I havn’t been in to the shop yet to see how she has displayed them !!)

Would love to know what you think – I would attempt to create 2 of these cards in a class with beginners.
Which would you choose ???

Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment
