Good morning, today is the launch of May’s challenge theme over on the IndigoBlu challenge website. It’s a play on words this month, and can be interpreted in so many ways by different people. Everyone has dreams, either life changing aspirations or whimsical daydreams.
I have dreams, and am gradually plucking up the courage and slowly working towards making them happen. It’s only as I’m getting older that I’m thinking I may as well try to realise them, it’s a whole new venture and way of thinking for me!
I took my inspiration from the IndigoBlu’s flutterby backing paper. I continued the card by stamping and adding addition colour with Seedless Preserves, Fossilised Amber & Milled Lavender distress inks. The butterfly has texture after I embossed it with distress embossing powder.
If you have never had the chance to work with the IndigoBlu papers (of any design) I was really encourage you to treat yourself to some. They are a dream to work with, and take any medium you want to work with so well. They are the only papers I have found so far (in my opinion) that allow you to get a crisp, beautiful image with distress ink that remains true to colour.
