Focus your Craft, Teal Butterflies follow your Heart

Last weekend I took part in a blog hop, part of a larger blog event organised by Jennifer Grace, on her Jennifer Grace Creates Blog.

The event is an amazing accumulation of blog posts, all written by Jennifer herself. the whole event centres around one word ‘Focus’, and each post shows Jennifer’s inspiration and interpretation of this word.

I was taken with a canvas that Jennifer created (see the post Focus Mixed-Media Canvas), and set about creating a version for myself.

I stamped onto white stamping card using Memento black ink, and allowing it to dry completely (by which time it becomes waterproof). I then painted (freehand) using Peacock Feathers, Picket Fence and Pewter distress sprays around the stamped stitching. The words are from Paperartsy, and the butterflies are from the ‘Live, Love, Laugh’ stamp set from Indigoblu

I wasn’t brave enough this time to accent any further for fear of ruining what I was already chuffed with. But now that I have a feel for the design I will experiment further by adding more colours and maybe extra images.

I will enter this into the Inspire Challenge that is running in conjunction with the blog event (and entry closes on 24th May 2015)

Thank you for reading and I hope you like what I have created today.

I have entered this card into the Take it, Make It challenge on the Craft Stamper blog this month, where Anything Goes.
