Last night I taught my first Card making Class. I had a lovely group of ladies – only 5 – but it was just a lovely number and apart from one lady, they were all complete beginners.
I was so so pleased that at the end of the two hours they were able to go home with a christmas card made by their fair hands, and a smile on their faces.
I had been very nervous for the afternoon, doubting whether I was expecting too much.
We used hunkydory kits, but I introduced the group to matting and layering and easel cards.
The first 4 cards is what I managed to teach and instruct the ladies to make, and they were chuffed to bits with their achievements
These are the card sample I made up with the kits as inspiration for the group. I don’t usually use this sort of kit myself but really really enjoyed myself. Also It has been a long time since I have made A6 cards and I had forgotten how quick they can come together.
I’m hopeful that perhaps in the new year the shop will ask me back to run a session of lessons.
