Create a Calendar – March

Hi, I like to share today the latest page I have created for my calendar – March.

I have also sharing this over at Sarah Hurley 365 blog, where along with my fellow team members Clare & Jayne, we are are each creating 12 month calendar.
March here, sees my using artists canvas texture cardstock, which is a dream to work with along side the Distress Ink sprays. The colours I have used here, Weathered Wood and Tattered Rose, remind me of a scarf that both Mum & I have, bought from a town called Roquetas, last summer.

The large butterfly stamp is perfect on this paper as it retains the texture of the paper, and adds to the ‘shabby chic’ /vintage feel this design has taken on.
I have also used the Distress Ink Sprays to ink the Lattice Background stamp. Its a technique I havn’t tried before, but love the effect and will definatly be using it again. using my non stick craft mat as a palette, I sprayed the inks, mixed them lightly before laying the large stamp in it to to stamp. The un evenness of the image was perfect in this case.

Thank you for stopping by today, I greatly appreciate the time you have taken to read.
Enjoy the rest of your day x
