Birthday Gift Tag, With Love

I like to make gift tags. Apart from being practical as to add to a gift, I think they are a great way to create a little bit of art for someone. You make them any size you want, any shape and as elaborate or clean and simple as you like. They are a great way to perhaps use up little scraps of paper, or to try out new techniques.

I made this tag for my Dads recent birthday, and i dug out a few of my stamps that I havn’t used in a very long time. I had to particular plan before I started and just went with the flow. These are my favourite colours, and they go together so easily.

The layer of design paper, is from Basic Grey and shows  images from the Iberian (Spanish) coast, which is very appropriate as Dad has lived in Spain for the last 10 years or so. This design paper also features on his birthday card.

Trees and Woodpecker images are stamps from Clarity stamps. Both images stamped with memento ink and coloured with promarker (alcohol) pens. The design paper is Basic grey, and I used embellishments from my stash to create the sentiment.

I’ll be entering the tag into the Inspire Challenge over at the Jennifer Grace Creates Blog. The challenge is part of the ‘Focus Your Craft‘ blog event, and the challenge remains open until 24th May 2015. However, all the blog posts that featured as part of the event will all remain online and Jennifer has collated all the links into one list so that you can still go and view. The posts can all be found by following the ‘Focus Your Craft‘ link
