All that’s Gold…

Can you believe it is the end of the month again, where did May go?

It is time to introduce another challenge over with Sarah Hurley, and the theme was set by our team mate Candice.

ALL THAT’S GOLD GLITTERS

It is well worth a visit to the blog too as the rest of the team have some fantastic creations to inspire you this month.

Perfect for many of you I’m sure, but for me a bit of a challenge, as I tend not to be too glitzy.

Here is a toned down version for you…..hehe!

I have used number of Sarah’s stamps sets, and no design papers to at all.
The background is created with the chevron mask, and the mini texture stamps, all inked with a mixture of antique linen and pumice DI. The gold leaf foiling of the background, used the mini crackle stamp inked with the foiling glue.
The dots and the wavy line (from the authentic boy & doodle home sets)  at the bottom are gold embossed, while in the top left corner I used gold thread to hand sew (using Sarah’s stitch & Doodle template from last months ‘Favourite Things’ kit)
The houses and tree (Doodle Home set) are stamped again with gilding glue and foiled onto beige cardstock, cut out and stuck on with pinflair 3D glue.

So there is quite a lot going on here, but I loved the fact that I had a chance to play and get messy with this project. I did have to step away and stop myself from fiddling further, otherwise I think I could have gone a bit over the top…..what do you think LOL!

The challenge also with this card was photographing it to show it off at its best, its tricky isn’t is to capture all the shine and shimmer. if anyone has any tips at all they will be very gratefully received…….hehe!

I do hope as always that you like what I have created, and would love to know what you think if you fancy leaving a comment. I really enjoy reading them all, and will return all your visits.
