Hello it’s Friday again, and that means I get to share what I have been making for Creative Expressions. I have used Phill Martin’s Blossom paper, and the mobile phone MDF shapes, to create an MDF frame.
I have joined together two of the larger MDF pieces from the mobile phone set with a couple of lengths of ribbon (acting as hinges), so that they are able to stand freely. I have attached a small clip, so that you can add and change photo’s regularly.
The words are a stamped sentiment from a set by Justrite Clear Stamps (also available via Creative Expressions). The sage green colour way from the fabulous designer paper pad from Phill Martin, has a true vintage feel, so this piece will frame a beautiful black and white photograph. Of course you can use colours to suit, and the theme can be changed up to suit all ages.
Now, this is something of a first for me – I have filmed a video of how I went about making this frame. I’ll give you a little warning that, its 20 mins long! I have a lot to learn yet, and this is by no means a polished article. I still need to work on a better intro, adding music (which just wasn’t happening for me today!!), and general editing skills. But hey – we all need to start somewhere, and this will at least give you an insight into how to approach a project like this.
So thank you for your perseverance, and I would love any tips any of you may have :-).
