Hello all, Friday again which means a Creative Expressions post.
I’m afraid I havn’t got any step by step photos for you this week, mainly because I just sat down to play and became totally engrossed…..and completely forgot OOPS!! 🙂 xxx
This stamp set by John Lockwood (pictured above) is my new favourite, and this week I used the circle stamp as the basis for my circle easel card. I stamped the design onto a piece of Phill Martins Sentimentally Yours Graceful Butterflies & DragonFlies 8×8″ paper, and heat embossed the image with a pearlised embossing powder.
To make the flowers of the delicate Snowdrop stand out and ‘pop’ from the page , I stamped and cut out the petals from a piece of white stamping card. Before decoupaging over the embossed image, I gently shaped and curled the petals on the side of a smooth pencil. I used silicon glue gel to add dimension to the flower head, and embellished each of the three flowers with a green flat backed gem.
I have purposefully not embellished the card because the stamp is so beautiful by itself.

A lovely card. Nice choice of colour with just the little pop of green here and there.
